How are your programs funded?
Each program is funded differently. We receive a monthly payment for each enrolled member from the State for Medi-Cal and Healthy Families Program members. The City and federal governments for Healthy Workers members, and the City, County, San Francisco Children and Families Commission, and other sources for Healthy Kids & Young Adults. With the exception of no-cost Medi-Cal, members contribute to the cost of their insurance through small monthly or annual payments, and low co-pays for certain medical services.
