Medical Director

San Francisco Health Plan is seeking a Medical Director to join our executive team.  In this role you would manage the department responsible for all standards, protocols, and procedures regarding the quality and efficiency of health care delivered to SFHP members.  The Medical Director is responsible for medical policy formulation and the effectiveness of all quality  improvement and utilization management programs.

This position requires a Doctor of Medicine, licensed to practice in California. The ideal candidate will have substantial supervisory experience and at least two to five years experience in a managed care plan.  Knowledge of Medi-Cal programs is highly desired, as is experience in medical programs administration, including Quality Management, Utilization Review, and Provider Relations.  Candidates should be Board certified, preferably in a primary care field, and should have at least five years of clinical experience.
