San Francisco Health Plan is a public health plan. That means that we want and need lots of input into how we run. We have many formal committees and informal task forces. For more info on our committees click on a link below.

Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee

The San Francisco Health Plan Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee assures that our pharmacy benefits are consistent with sound clinical principles and processes, and that they comply with current standards of practice. It makes recommendations about the formulary and pharmaceutical and therapeutic treatment guidelines.

The committee members include physicians and pharmacists who practice in the San Francisco community and who have been nominated by the San Francisco Health Plan Medical Director and appointed by the Quality Improvement Committee.
