GGHI Forums



The Health Forum this year was a success, providing a wealth of information to health workers from San Francisco, and a wide range of San Francisco organizations. We had over 100 participants attend, representing 58 local health centers, clinics, and community based organizations!

Workshops equipped Application Assistors, Eligibility Workers/Supervisors, and health workers with the tools to bridge uninsured families to the health care they need. The Forum also provided local community based organizations insight on the important role they play helping families’ access health care.   

Participants were able to network, learn about the state of health care in San Francisco and California, and take advantage of workshops to compliment their knowledge of:

  • Commonly used Medi-Cal Forms;
  • Public health programs in San Francisco;
  • Access to Health care and other benefits for immigrants in California; and
  • What happens once an application for a public health program has been submitted.
