To support this goal, San Francisco Health Plan has dedicated staffing a health coverage enrollment location on Saturday's at one of the B&GC sites in the Excelsior District of San Francisco. Adolescent Health Working Group

In effort to increase access to health insurance for Young Adults in San Francisco , SFHP has teamed up with the Adolescent Health Working Group (AHWG), one of a few non-profit advocacy groups instrumental in making the Healthy Young Adults extension a reality. The AHWG's approach of peer-to-peer outreach was an ideal one to get the word out to teens in San Francisco about the HKYA extension. SFHP supports the AHWG by providing trainings for their outreach staff when necessary, resources to assist their outreach efforts, and follow-up on uninsured young adults that may be eligible for our Healthy Kids & Young Adults Program. For more information, please contact the Adolescent Health Working Group at 415-576-1170 x304.

Bringing Up Healthy Kids (BUHK) Coalition

As an active participant, SFHP has been involved in a number of projects. Among those are the SFUSD Request for Information (RFI) Project aimed at reaching all students in San Francisco utilizing the School Lunch Applications and the creation of a health access resource guide specific to San Francisco.
