SFHP participates in a number of community events every year and also hosts events at our Service Center. Local involvement allows us to educate and inform our community on health coverage options and SFHP. We welcome opportunities to partner with community organizations for events serving the uninsured San Francisco residents.

Upcoming Public Events

Please join us as we mark the 50th anniversary of the Medi-Cal program in San Francisco and San Mateo counties.

  • Date: Tuesday, October 25
  • Time: 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Program begins at 10:00 a.m.
  • Location: Zuckerberg San Francisco General (front courtyard next to the new wing)

Over 250,000 working families, seniors, people with disabilities and children are members of the San Francisco Health Plan and Health Plan of San Mateo, getting high quality health care services from thousands of our local providers.

On October 25, our local community will gather at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital as we celebrate the people who make this needed source of health insurance possible: Medi-Cal members, health care providers, public health plans, enrollment assisters, community partners, elected officials and many more!

There will be special remarks from State Senator Mark Leno who will be honored for his longstanding service to the Medi-Cal program and state and local leaders.

A light breakfast will be served. This event is free and open to the public.
