How to Keep Your Coverage

In-Home Support Services (IHSS) employee requirements to keep Healthy Workers coverage are specific to your IHSS employer. Contact your IHSS employer to learn more about the requirements to keep your Healthy Workers coverage.

For more information on Healthy Workers enrollment or program eligibility, IHSS Public Authority emplolyees should call (415) 243-4477 and IHSS Consortium employees should call (415) 255-2079 or (800) 283-7000.

Healthy Workers whose coverage under the IHSS group contract has ended may be eligible for Individual Conversion Coverage. Please see the Individual Conversion Coverage Benefits Matrix  and rates for a full description of when you may be eligible for individual coverage, and a description of the costs associated with this coverage. Temporary, exempt as-needed employees of the City and County of San Francisco

As a temporary employee of the City and County of San Francisco, once you've enrolled in the Healthy Workers program, your coverage will continue each benefit period as long as you meet eligibility criteria.
