Healthy SF

San Francisco Health Plan is the third-party administrator (TPA) for the Healthy SF program. Healthy SF is a health access program designed to make health care services available and affordable to uninsured San Francisco residents. It is operated by the San Francisco Department of Public Health (DPH).

Healthy SF is available to San Francisco residents who are not eligible for other health insurance options such as Medi-Cal or financial assistance through Covered California. Healthy SF is not insurance, but access to coordinated health services in San Francisco. It does not meet the minimum requirements under the Affordable Care Act effective January 1, 2014 requiring most Americans to have health insurance coverage.
