Often people do not get treatment in time.<strong> Getting an eye exam each year can lower your risk of vision loss by 95%.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<div>\n<strong style=\"color: #dd2390;\" >Talk with your PCP* if you have any changes in your eyes, such as:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Blurry vision<\/li>\n<li>Sudden black or grey specks or strings in your vision<\/li>\n<li>Changing vision<\/li>\n<li>Dark or empty spots of vision<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>Make sure to get a complete eye exam each year. For people with diabetes, a complete eye exam will include eye dilation. This is when a doctor will give you eye drops to make your pupil larger. Eye dilation lets your doctor see the inside of your eye and look for any changes. In September 2022, the updated boosters were approved by the CDC and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). They are \u201cbivalent\u201d (two strains) which target the COVID Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 strains. The updated booster also targets the original COVID strain.<\/p>\n<p>You can now get the updated boosters in San Francisco. For example, if you have Original Medicare Part A only, Medicare will cover inpatient care only. You can still get care from any SFHP in-network PCP in any medical group except Kaiser Permanente.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #007db4;\">If your member ID card says a medical group that is not SDN, you are matched with a PCP who is in charge of your care. Mental health issues during this time are common and can be treated. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 10px;\">Depression is the most common mental health issue during and after pregnancy. 1 in 8 people feel depressed within the first week of giving birth. This is called \u201cPostpartum Depression.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Postpartum depression can last 7 months or longer if not treated. Talk with your PCP if you think you may have symptoms. Most people get better with treatment. Within 48 hours, they can reach out to you and provide a depression screening.
