Ensuring timely access to patient care is a California Department of Health Services requirement of all Medi-Cal managed care plans and is essential for producing positive health outcomes, appropriate health-care utilization, and high levels of patient satisfaction. SFHP monitors provider network capacity, availability, and accessibility on an ongoing basis.
