Blog - Allergies

If you have an allergy, your immune system reacts to something that doesn’t bother most other people. People who have allergies often are sensitive to more than one thing. People with seasonal allergies (also called hay fever or allergic rhinitis) react to pollen from plants.

Allergies can cause a variety of symptoms, like:

  • Itching in the nose, roof of the mouth, throat, eyes
  • Sneezing
  • Stuffy nose (congestion)
  • Runny nose

Getting Help

If you think you might have allergies, call your Primary Care Provider. Your Primary Care Provider is the doctor, nurse practitioner, or physician’s assistant who is in charge of your health care.
