Standards compliance
All pages in the English version of this site are Section 508 optimized, and should comply with all of the U.S. Federal Government Section 508 Guidelines.
Fonts
There are links towards the bottom of the page which allow you to increase the font size. You can bring the font size back to its original size by clicking the reset link.
Links
- Many links have title attributes which describe the link in greater detail, unless the text of the link already fully describes the target (such as the headline of an article).
- Links are written to make sense out of context.
Images
- All content images used in this site include descriptive ALT attributes. Purely decorative graphics include null ALT attributes.
- Complex images include LONGDESC attributes or inline descriptions to explain the significance of each image to non-visual readers.
Visual design
- This site uses cascading style sheets for visual layout.
- If your browser or browsing device does not support style sheets at all, the content of each page is still readable.
- For those with JavaScript and cookies enabled, this site provides the ability to enlarge text for easier reading. The link is located at the bottom of the page near the copyright information.

- Opera, a visual browser with many accessibility-related features, including text zooming, user style sheets, image toggle. A free downloadable version is available. Compatible with Windows, Macintosh, Linux, and several other operating systems.
