San Francisco Health Plan Medi-Cal members under the age of 21 can get care to keep you well. These services are free, even if they are not a part of a routine visit.

Visits to the doctor and health tests help you stay healthy and get the care you need. If an issue is found during a doctor visit or test, San Francisco Health Plan covers any care that might be needed at no cost to you. Some kinds of visits can take place over the phone or with video.

Some of these free services are:

  • Well child visits
  • Lab tests, such as lead screening
  • Developmental tests
  • Hearing and eye tests
  • Mental health screenings
  • Physical exam
  • Vaccines to keep you well. This can include the flu shot and others.
  • Dental exams
  • Referrals for other treatment
