Dear SFHP Members: Congress was unable to reach an agreement on funding for Fiscal Year 2026, and the federal government was shut down on October 1, 2025. While we do not know how long the shutdown will last, SFHP will continue its operations as normal. You can still access the care you need. ID Cards

San Francisco Health Plan issues each member an ID card. When you get your member ID card, check all information to make sure it is correct. You may have a new ID card mailed to you at no charge if:

1. Any information is incorrect
2. Your card is lost or stolen
3. You change your Primary Care Provider
4. Your address or other information changes

If you need help or have questions, call SFHP Customer Service at 1(415) 547-78001(800) 288-5555 (toll-free), or 711 (TTY), Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.

You can also request a new ID card online by registering on the SFHP Member Portal.

In addition to your SFHP ID card, you should also have a Beneficiary Identification card (BIC) or Medi-Cal card from the State of California. You may need to show that card to get certain services. Call 1(855) 355-5757  if you have any questions, or to get a new BIC card.

Always carry your San Francisco Health Plan (SFHP) ID card and Medi-Cal BIC card with you. Never let anyone else use your SFHP ID card or BIC card.
