SFHP Care Plus partners with Carelon Behavioral Health to offer care for mild to moderate mental and behavioral health issues.
- Inpatient mental health services
- Outpatient mental or behavioral health services include, but are not limited to:
- Individual and group therapy
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services
- Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) services
- Mental health testing, screening and treatment
- Substance Use Disorder (SUD) services
How to Get Needed Mental Health Care
Carelon has many doctors and counselors who offer mental health care.
- Call 1(855) 371-8117 (TTY 711). A mental health expert will answer your call.
- Answer a few questions about your needs and symptoms.
- Carelon will help you find a provider nearby or connect you to the right program.
Based on your needs, you may get referred to an in-network provider or San Francisco County’s mental health plan. Your main doctor, specialist, or other providers can also refer you for mental health support.
