Talk to someone who understands and can help!
Mental and behavioral health issues are very common. You should not feel embarrassed if you need to talk to someone. Trained counselors are available to speak with you anytime you need some extra support or help.
You can get access to trained counselors to help with mental health issues, thoughts of suicide, or problems with substance use. It is free and private. A trained crisis worker will give you support and share resources that may help. They are available to help you every day and night of the week.
Call or text 988 or chat 988lifeline.org/chat. For Spanish, call
You do not have to be suicidal to call. You can talk about:
- Depression, mental illness, or feeling alone
- Feeling worried about money
- Relationships
- Sexual orientation or gender identity
If you are an SFHP member, SFHP will cover the cost of care given by 988. You can also get mental health care from any crisis help center or mobile unit even if they are not in SFHP’s network.
