What Is a Mammogram?

A mammogram is an X-ray picture of the breasts. Doctors use a mammogram to look for early signs of breast cancer.

Who Should Get a Mammogram?

Everyone who has breasts and is 50-74 years old. People 40-49 years old who have breasts should talk with their Primary Care Provider* (PCP) about when to start and how often to get a mammogram. Learn more from the CDC.
