Teladoc®

Primary Care Providers (PCPs) and clinics are always the first point of contact for our members’ routine and urgent care. Now, when members can’t see you, or get to you they can receive care from a doctor from anywhere using their phone, smartphone app, or computer with our FREE telemedicine service, Teladoc.

After members register and provide their medical history, they can request a phone, online video, or mobile app appointment to get care for simple, non-emergency problems.

Teladoc doctors are California licensed doctors with 15 years of office-based practice experience. The doctors can assess simple medical problems such as: UTI, skin concerns, flu, joint aches and pain, vomiting and diarrhea, red itchy eyes.

Teladoc physicians are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, year round. The average wait time for a Teladoc appointment is under 10 minutes. Teladoc physicians can prescribe medications but will not prescribe controlled substances.

After the consultation, Teladoc will fax a summary of the visit (Clinical Consult Report) to the member’s PCP/clinic.
