How to Get Behavioral & Mental Health Care

You can follow these simple steps:

  1. Call your primary care provider* (PCP).

    The phone number is on your SFHP ID card. Tell your PCP how you are feeling. They can help you get the right care.

  2. Talk to a mental health expert.

    Call Carelon Behavioral Health to make an appointment at 1(855) 371-8117 or visit carelonbehavioralhealth.com. You do not need a referral. You can also get care for the whole family.

  3. Get care for drinking or substance use.

    Call the San Francisco 24/7 access line at 1(888) 246-3333 or drop in at:
