People ages 6 months and older can now get the updated 2023-2024 COVID-19 vaccine!
Get vaccinated against COVID-19 to protect yourself and your family. COVID-19 vaccines also reduce the chance of having Long COVID. This vaccine can better protect against virus strains that are currently making people sick.
As of September 12, 2023, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends:
- Everyone ages 5 years and older get 1 dose of the updated Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
- People with weakened immune systems may get more than 1 dose of the updated COVID-19 vaccine.
- Kids 6 months to 4 years old can get the updated COVID-19 vaccine. Please talk with your PCP about how many doses your child may need.
Please talk with your PCP if you have any questions or concerns about getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
If you have had COVID-19 lately, wait 3 months until you get the updated COVID-19 vaccine. Count the months from when symptoms started. Or if you had no symptoms, count from when you first got a positive test.
