COVID-19 Booster Shots

Booster shots are now available for people who got Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. COVID-19 booster shots help to keep immunity strong and increase protection against COVID-19.

When are you eligible for a booster shot?

If you received the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, you should get a booster if you:

  • Are 12 years of age and older
  • Got your second dose of the Pfizer vaccine at least 5 months ago
When are you eligible for a booster shot?
  • Are 18 years of age and older
  • Got your second dose of the Moderna vaccine at least 5 months ago

If you received the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, you should get a booster if you:

  • Are 18 years of age and older
  • Got your dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least 2 months ago

If you have already gotten your COVID-19 booster, you do not need to do anything further. Thank you for getting the vaccine.

Call your Primary Care Provider (PCP) to see if you are eligible or to ask questions about getting a booster shot. A PCP is the doctor, nurse practitioner, or physician’s assistant who is in charge of your health care. Your PCP is listed on your member ID card.
