Get Mental Health Services with SFHP

It is common to feel stressed, sadness, anger, or changes in your emotions. How you feel can affect your work, school, daily routines, relationships, or activities that you used to enjoy. If you are having trouble with your emotions, are feeling stressed, or have a loved one who has been having trouble, it may be time to reach out for help.

Common symptoms:

  • Feeling sad for more than 2 weeks
  • Loss of interest or pleasure in hobbies or social activities
  • Feeling tired or having no energy
  • Weight gain or loss
  • Changes in sleeping or eating patterns
  • Extreme feeling of highs and lows
  • Thoughts of self-harm or suicide
  • Paranoia (not trusting others when there is no threat)
  • Using more drugs or drinking
  • Hallucinations in what you see and/or hear
  • Anxiety

Mental Health Issues Are Common and Can Be Treated

Talk with your primary care provider* (PCP) if you think you may have symptoms. Most people get better with treatment. This can be medicine or talking with a mental health expert. SFHP Care Management Program

If you need help getting care, you can get help with SFHP’s Care Management Program. A case manager can help you over the phone to get you the help you need. Our care team can help you:

  • Get referrals for community agencies, including food, housing, or behavioral health.
  • Work with our nurse to get ready for your next appointment.
  • Work with your care team to better understand your medications.
